[Image: A set of four gifs of the character Elizabeth Burke, a white woman wearing a black dress and heels played by Tiffany Thiessen talking to another character, an older white woman with redd hair, blue eyes, wearing a business suit. Their dialogue is as follows:

Elizabeth: “Let me first say that Agent Burke and I have been married for 12 years. It’s a partnership that’s built on respect, admiration and trust.”

Interviewing Woman: “And how is this relevant?”

Elizabeth: “Peter’s relationship with Neal is based on the same elements.”

okay so I am super behind on White Collar, like, I’ve seen the midseason premiere and that’s it

but

are they like

not even trying anymore

They are absolutely 100% not trying anymore.

#honesty #respect #light bondage #those are the foundations of the white collar family

There are three strands to her ring! Urgh best OT3 ever.

The three-piece ring, I think, is the clearest manifestation by the show’s producers that this is a three-person relationship based on respect and admiration.

OT3 FOREVER.

I totally needed this burst of squee today

I just checked my username as a tag. PEOPLE WERE CELEBRATING WITH GIFS OVER ME FOLLOWING THEM.

[Image: The character Dean Winchester from Supernatural, his arms raised, wiggling happily with a big smile on his face.]

[Image: The forever alone rage face on a stick figure body running back and forth across a gray background with the caption: “OMG A FRIEND”.]

And cosmicrubric used a Christopher Eccleston gif. OH MY GOD YOU CAN’T STOP OUR LOVE NOW. IT IS FOREVER I TELL YOU. FOREVURRRRRRR.

Would-be White/male/straight/etc. allies, this means you. Reblog this for yourself and your brethren to reduce chances of showing your ass.

this is good-ass advice. for life.

aha i knew a guy at americorps who used these guidelines for his team meetings. when i heard it i was like YES. STEALING FOREVER.

THIIIIIIIIIIIS. THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS.

I want to mail copies of this to every failing white feminist who derails when WoC speak by saying things like, “But you shouldn’t have used the word ‘bitch’ or ‘cunt’ or ‘ho’.” It’s like, damn, see rule number 3. Did a discussion about a white woman being super the racist really need you butting in at that moment to say, “Buuuuut you called her a gendered slur when you were telling her how oppressive she’s being!”

God but all of this is good. These are officially the Three Golden Rules of Not Being An Ass on the Internet.

When I became an actress I quickly realize that the world liked their latinos to look Italian. Not like me. So I wasn’t going up for Latina parts. I was going up for African American parts. […] Regardless of the fact that I spoke the language better and understood the culture better, those weren’t the parts that…I could take seriously. Suddenly you have to explain why I look how I look. And then it gets complicated. And nobody wants complicated.

[Image: A series of six gifs. The side on the left shows scenes from the music video to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Including the famous shot of the four members of the band arranged in dramatic lighting like a choir, the silhouette of Freddy Mercury against a white light and the shot of the dramatically lit faces of Mercury and another member of the band singing. On the right are the same shots but done with muppets. The first shows Grover with the singing chickens behind him. The next shows Pepe the King Prawn in silhouette. The third shows the faces of Beaker and Bobo the Bear going back and forth singing.]

[Image: Six gifs of a scene from Kill Bill featuring Lucy Liu playing Oren Ishii. She is talking to a group of people and she starts very calmly and becomes more angry and animated as she goes on, she has blood in her face and in the last two gifs she holds up a severed head. The captions read: “And I promise you, right here and now, no subject will ever be taboo. Except, of course, the subject that was just under discussion. The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or American heritage as a negative is…I collect your fucking head. Just like this fucker here. Now if any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say…NOW IS THE FUCKING TIME!]

#oren ishii ladies and gentlemen #she don’t take no racist bullshit

should have had her own movie tbh. Queen of my heart forever and always.

#gone too soon
I would’ve loved the hell outta movies about her life instead.

the bride: whine whine whine they killed me on my wedding day woe I was in a coma for years and got buried alive—
me: stfu, O-Ren’S entire family was murdered in front of her eyes and she went through hell and back as a FUCKING CHILD.

HBIC indeed.

I hold by the opinion that Kill Bill would have been a better movie if it focused on literally any of the other female characters. O-Ren clearly being top of the heap in a photo finish with Vernita.

I mean, a Black mother who is also an assassin?

Fuckin’ fuck yeah.

and id kill to see a movie on vernitas lil girl child growin up to be a bad ass revenge seeker. KILL.

Oh god, any movie about either of those characters would be just AMAZESAUCE and I would watch it in a heart beat. Didn’t care for Uma Thurman really, and frankly Oren Ishii and so many of the other kick ass WoC’s would’ve made for a better movie.

This is hands down my fave scene from that entire movie. Because how often do you get to see a woman of color saying, “Yes, this is my heritage and racial background, and if you wanna bring your racist or sexist bullshit to my doorstep, then I’ll happily help you make a withdrawal from the First National Bank of I Will Fuck You Up. Additionally, the The Bank of My Fucking Fist will be merging with Your Fucking Face Credit Union and taking over all it’s shit.”

Do you ever get tired of constantly debating people on tumblr?

saucy-sarah:

I do. Sometimes I’m like, fuck it. Educating people is so time consuming and who says I’m quailfied enough?!?! I am not the PC queen, I say and think tons of offensive things. We all have our own prejudices.

I was about to start a tumblr debate with oomf, but it’s not worth it. In real life, I’m not a big fan of hot botton debates anyway. People like that annoy me.

Shiiid, I rather follow a whole bunch of cute guys on bearded and black than debate.

[Image: An animated gif of singer/artist Kanye West reading an illustrated book with the flashing words on it “sorry censored”. He is speaking and shrugging and the word “sorry” the shope of a comic-book like speech bubble comes out of his mouth.]

Thiiiiiiiiis. I have given up a lot of dealing with people who are like vacuums of information. They suck it in and then dump it in the garbage and come back wanting to suck more out of you. Especially in FA/HAES type places or in feminist/women-centric/anti-sexism spaces or in queer spaces or in mental health spaces.

I’m pretty much at the level of, “No, I will not educate you on why my body is not a disease, why obesity isn’t an epidemic, why I don’t need to apologize, why your concern for my health is actually bullshit, why your joke wasn’t funny, and why these ads/pictures/literature/media, etc is not okay and hurtful to me. You obviously have google. Start with “fat acceptance” or “HAES” and read it on your own time. My fat ass has better things to do.”

When I first got to Tumblr and LJ/DW (to an extent) and was first really understanding FA/HAES/Fat positivity for myself, I wasted a lot of hours explaining to hateful people why they were wrong and trying to provide links and quotes from articles and all this other stuff. Ditto for other things I was learning.

Shit, I got tired. I wasted hours sometimes, trying to track things down or word things right or keeping up with a discussion where someone had a socially-approved come back to throw at you the minute you’ve hit “post” because they have an entire oppressive structure backing their play and you have you, a few friends, some web pages, and a few books to hold near and dear against the oncoming shit storm.

Plus, it was like, “You know, I’m just now getting into this myself. I’m not the fucking authority on this. I am not the final word on fat. Or queer. Or being a woman/female.” Finally I realized that this was another tactic to break marginalized people down. Make them feel like suddenly they have to carry the weight (no pun intended) of their entire identity and everyone who shares it on their back and become the representative of all their people and suddenly you’re the position where you have to speak for a lot of people you don’t wanna speak for (they can speak for themselves) and it’s just shitty.

TL;DR: Everything saucy-sarah said.
