What teachers really want to tell parents (via world-shaker)

Oh well. I think it is part of a teacher’s job to prove their trustworthiness. Why shouldn’t a parent want to hear all sides of the story?

As if it hasnt been shown time and again that some teachers bully students, encourage the class to demean students, excessively and harshly punish children of color, victimize students based on gender nonconformity/sexual orientation, sexually assault and even steal from students
How bout this teacher go after her own fellow teachers for all theyve done to undermine parents’ trust in their profession
And perhaps develop some grudging respect for students as people

Not to say there arent ridiculous fucking parents that cosign their kids’ bullshit but fuck this blanket condemnation of parents and children
