I DON’T need feminism (like this) because some men DO get pregnant and many women can never ever become pregnant (some of them even have PENISES) and they don’t need to be erased from their own damn lives and struggles.

If your feminism doesn’t recognize that, it’s a pile of shit and just kyriarchy wearing a different mask.

What you mean is “if cis men could get pregnant”. God what a pathetic little statement that is. As if that’s the problem, or even a way to a solution. As if there aren’t plenty of uterus-bearing women out there who scream “abortion is murder” and participate in anti-choice fuckery because they’re privileged white ladies who feel it’s their right and duty to enforce their notions of good and evil on others.

As if when I drove past the recent nest of anti-choicers on my way to the post office last week, MOST of them weren’t cis white women of childbearing age.

Just because you have the ability to get pregnant doesn’t endow you with the ability to act with empathy and compassion for those who get pregnant and don’t want to stay that way.

You’re missing the goddamn point. The point is so much bigger than even just abortion. It’s about a society where we don’t just let abortion become a moral issue - fine, I don’t give a shit if other people think it’s immoral - but we give people power to decide that morality for others without their consent. We give a handful the power to enforce THEIR morality and shove it down the throats of others.

You wanna think abortion is murder in your own head, fine. I’m not the damn head police, and I certainly don’t give a shit for your approval on this matter. Even if you CAN get pregnant.

But when you go from thinking that to having the power to shut down clinics, rob reproductive services of all funding and go around killing doctors and intimidating and lying to patients/pregnant people (of ALL genders), then we have a problem.

So yeah. You missed that goddamn point by a goddamn mile.

But hey, go ahead. Miss the point. And while you’re at it, erase trans men and non-binary people with uteruses who also have to deal with this issue. That’s not shitty or anything. That’s not proof that feminism - especially white cislady feminism - is NOT SO GRATE AKSHULLY or anything.
