Why “I didn’t mean to offend you” is a nonsensical response :

If someone tells you “Hey that is sexist” or “racist” or any other kind of massive bad deal.. Why do you think it’s about you offending them? It isn’t that personal.

If someone tells you “hey that’s racist” presumably you didn’t know it was, the logical step to consider is whether or not you condone racism. I you don’t, you probably want to address the thing called to your attention.

If you don’t understand why it’s racist, the logical step, if you really aren’t ok with racism, is to find out why it’s being called out, not dismiss it as “over-sensitivity.”

This shit is not hard to understand.
