Usually I hate the use of “no homo”, but here I understand what they’re going for. Because even while the writer’s stroke the white, cis, male privilege that’s going on, they still use gay cis men’s sexualities as a tease for (mostly) straight white women. 

Frankly, it makes me weary. First, because I don’t like queer sexuality being turned into some kind of titillation that excites people because apparently it’s “naughty” and “forbidden” or some shit. 

Also, it makes me know that there’s no way I’d ever get a legit queer character or couple on a show. Forget having any lesbians of any race, or folks of color who are queer. And quit your dreaming about having trans, queer folks of color being the protagonists and getting to have the epic romance and adventure. ‘cause that is never gonna happen.
