Am I the only one who finds this borderline abusive and not appropriate at all?
First, because I don’t like the idea that a young woman venting about her life to her friends is something so heinous and awful that she ought to be punished for months/years for it. Maybe saying “hey, I felt like that was disrespectful” is okay, but this? This is creeping me out, honestly.
Second, because destroying her property like (with a fucking gun!) that just to emphasize how dominant you are and in control is sort of a shitty and very threatening thing to do.
Third, publicly humiliating your daughter before all the world is triply shitty. I don’t think you’re any more mature than she is.
My “not okay” alarms are going off around this. Am I over reacting, Tumblr verse?
