Actually yes, the world has looked like this and will again, because there are certainly no laws against it. But even if there were, like there are against the marriages of other wonderful people in our society… there’s not a preachy advert in the world that will stop us getting justice. I mean damn.

It’s like this other ad where the yogurt company tried to show a fat woman in rose petals (mimicking the movie poster for “American Beauty” and WOAH THE IRONY AND UNINTENDED BUT TRUE STATEMENTS IN THAT SHIT RIGHT THERE) as though she was ugly, but it turned out that actually she was fucking hot. I want a poster of that woman on my wall because UNFFFF to infinity.

This ad, too, backfires.
If you’re implying fat people don’t/can’t get married, then you’re not paying attention to reality. Many fat folks, are married (or in a deeply committed relationship). I was totally rocking in my BIG FAT WEDDING DRESS on my wedding day, I can tell you that.
If you’re implying that beautiful wedding toppers aren’t made for fat people, well, you just showed a picture of one, so obviously there is somewhere in the world where someone can order a fat wedding cake topper. I certainly wish I’d had one at my wedding, but I just had a bunch of pretty flowers.
If you’re implying that neither grooms nor brides (nor any other person getting married who may be neither groom nor bride or be both) can’t look stunning in their attire and get the love and support of people as they make a lifetime commitment to each other? You may again look to my fat, married ass to prove you wrong. I still get compliments on my wedding dress and how good I looked. My dress rocked like a fox in a box.
So, when you say “the world’s never going to be like this?” do you mean that the world is never going to be like a fatphobic yogurt ad with an ill-considered tag line selling a product which is probably just as loaded with sugar and/or high fructose corn syrup and artificial ingredients as any other “unhealthy” food you might find in the grocery store, made with plastic containers that not only contribute to the ecological downfall of our planet but are manufactured and distributed by workers who are paid insufficiently and deprived of adequate health care by a system that cares more about corporate greed and paying for oppressive advertising than being a moral, ethical entity that sells something in a way that doesn’t hurt other people far more than obesity ever will.
Because that last bit is ACTUALLY TRUE.
