As far as I’m sure you know, everybody is going through finical difficulties. I won’t make a long story, but I need money for schooling, beauty blog and make up artistry.
As you are all aware school is expensive as shit and can be extra expensive if you are in the arts ( it’s not just books you are paying for, you are paying for supplies or instruments w.e.).
My beauty blog/Make up artistry also I’m having trouble because the products I have or need (especially for my makeup artistry to go further) I currently am not making enough to cover in getting.
I’m asking for donations, I really have a hard time asking people for money period. Because well, I’m a private person, I also am very independent along with I guess stubborn (Capricorn)
So i hope you at least take the time to read this or boost or whatever you choose to do.
——————————————————————
I will accept donations between 1-5 bucks but the largest amount I’m asking is 15 bucks. If you donate me 15 bucks I will:
Do a review for you a certain product
Give make-up, skin care, hair care advice to you as WOC ( I know most WOC struggle with this often)
Do a tutorial for you on what you want
If you are in my area be willing to do your make up for you for $15 ( which is hell of a bargin MAC makes you pay 50$ and buy a product. )
If you are a company or run a business and want a review I will review it but I will be honest. I’m not here to lie for money
————————————————————————
*If you donate 15 bucks to me I will show receipts to that person personally, so they will feel their money is going to where it needs to be.

White privilege is learning about the Filipino Genocide carried out by the white American servicemen and, assuming that the only genocides that ever happened were the ones written about by white textbook publishers, categorizing it as “fortunes of war” instead of the systemic murder of a people.
Help us fight against the National Geographic TV show American Gypsies, TLC’s My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and other programs that cause Romanies actual harm, pain and suffering. These shows do not represent even a small fraction of the total Romani (Gypsy) population. It represents only a few outrageous and controversial individuals in a way that is SCRIPTED to exaggerate a romanticized “mafia” image for ratings and profit. The producers and networks make no honest attempt to educate the public about the very deep and diverse Romani culture. This is especially damaging as National Geographic has a reputation for being a respected and scientifically accurate organization. People believe what they see on National Geographic is the truth. Romanies left India 1000 years ago to flee war and persecution due to Islamic expansion. We are a distinct ethnicity spread throughout the entire world. We face discrimination in education, in hiring, in housing, in healthcare. It is a matter of historical fact that we have been enslaved, forcibly sterilized, forcibly deported and subjected to genocide throughout our entire history. In all this time and throughout all of this abuse, Romanies have never had an army. We have never raised arms against our neighbors. We have never marched down a hill and killed families because we wanted to take their land or resources. Shows like American Gypsies are far more damaging than meets the eye. Propaganda was the tool Nazis used to dehumanize Romanies and Jews in World War II. These new shows are dehumanizing us again. Hitler had movies and radio shows made to mock and demonize Romanies and Jews. This negative media was so effective in brainwashing ordinary people that upstanding citizens became eager to accept and even take part in the horrors of the holocaust. Well over one million Romanies were murdered like animals because they were made to look like animals. This is more than an argument about the exercise of free speech. Shows like American Gypsies perpetuate hate, resentment and inaccurate racial stereotypes on the biggest stage in the world.
This causes real and demonstratable damage for which the show producers and networks must be held liable. Millions of people see these shows every week. Romanies are suffering while supposedly “educational” networks like TLC and National Geographic rake in profits pedaling scripted and sensationalized tabloid garbage. We as a Race have tried to move forward with the times but continue to face road blocks. Many Romanies are in fact integrated, educated and have regular jobs such as nurses, cop, teachers, scientist, doctors, lawyers ect. You may even know a Romani. Shows such as these are extremely dangerous for us. Any Romanies who are integrated and still maintain their culture could lose their jobs because they will be associated with the people depicted in this show. Would you hire a Gypsy? Would you still hire a Gypsy if the only representation you had seen was that which is being presented by National Geographic? National Geographic, TLC and the producers of these shows have neglected to offer any sincere explanation to the viewing public as to what factors may have caused these particular Romanies to become what they are. More importantly, they neglect to sincerely disclose that the Romanies depicted in this show represent less than 1% of Romanies worldwide. Most importantly, National Geographic is demonizing Romanies. Through negative, inaccurate and irresponsible portrayals in mass media. This is causing actual and demonstrable harm for which these shows, their producers and the networks who show them must be held accountable for.

I get new followers and I’m all, “Why are you even following me? Just follow the people I reblog. I WILL ONLY LET YOU DOWN, FOLLOWER PERSON. I WILL ONLY DISAPPOINT YOU. OH GOD I CAN’T HANDLE THE PRESSURE.”
Then magnify that 10x when it’s someone I respect a whole bunch. “NO DON’T LOOK AT ME I’M HIDEOUS AND MADE OF FAIL.”
If I were to make a video answering random questions, what questions would you want me to answer.
especially all those folks who were up in arms 4 years about how hard it is for women in the political arena and how they’re subjected to gender-based attacks?
or do y’all only pick up arms when it’s a white woman being targeted?
don’t answer, it’s a rhetorical question.

I second that motion. Tim Wise is a complete doucherag for this. Seriously. Who the fuck cares why the baby was there. How about evil white dudes with guns don’t go shooting people, huh?
How about we keep asking why this evil ass fuckface had fucking ASSAULT RIFLES and decided to go shoot people in the first place? This tweet should read “is your need to be an evil fuckface so great that u shoot an infant in a midnight show. Bullshit…”
Fuck you Tim Wise.
This amazing nonprofit (teenvoices.com) deserves to survive. I’m running a sort of contest (http://aboutmaleprivilege.tumblr.com/post/27835472809/attention-prizes-below) where people get my fail illustrations to use as desktop wallpapers if they reblog Teen Voices information where they ask for donation help before August 1, and I’d love it if you could help us out. If you think it’s worthwhile, thanks a lot, and if you don’t it’s okay too. And have a great day okay?

Until the day I die I will always be “reasonably suspicious,” a possible drug-cartel member or illegal immigrant. I will never be waved through border patrol checkpoints which not dot Southern Arizona like those in the car in front of me.
Even the books I read and music I listen to or art I enjoy will be used against me in a court of law, as it was in the Ethnic Studies trial in Arizona.
And despite the race of the mass shooters, from Jared Loughner to James Holmes, or to other murderers outside of Tucson such as Shawna Forde and Jason Bush, white supremacist members of the Minutemen that killed Brisenia Flores and her father while also shooting her mother, the Sheriff Arpaio lovers and TEA Party will never start fearing their grandkids even though Russell Pearce and Jan Brewer have sons in jail.
It is the brown person that must be feared. It is Latinos getting educated in Mexican American Studies that plan to “overthrow the US Government.” And it is us who are the cause of the financial meltdown. It has nothing to do with the billionaire bankers and their bailouts, but mythical welfare collectors who we all picture as black and Latino.
Just as with other mass murders, the media will focus on this for another 15 minutes and then it will be forgotten. Then another murderer will be spawned, and we will wonder once again why it happened.
Perhaps if Americans started looking within, and at all cultures and races, rather than focusing as Arizona does on the evilness of Ethnic Studies and bilingual education, or whether people living here peacefully for decades have the proper paperwork, then we might prevent future tragedies.
But this would require us to look beyond the illusion, the American flag or the crucifix in the house and focus more on what type of weapons your neighbor has and why. Their internet ramblings and conspiracy sites they visit may be more dangerous than a banned book by Rudy Acuña read in TUSD.
This will never happen.

‘The Lone White Gunman’ is a half-truth. They are never lone, but they are always armed. And they are always armed because America has no qualms about arming them. Arming them is, in fact, the America way—coddled and enshrined in the Constitution. White Supremacist Capitalist Heteropatriarchy prevents us from analyzing the pathology of these young white men and their sexual obsessions with weaponry, forbids us from seeing them as a part of a frightening continuum, blocks us from recognizing white male bodies as infinitely dangerous, and distracts us from seeing the American government’s complicity in their carnage.
I’ll tell you this: When I enter a public space, whether it be a movie theater, an airport. a political rally, or school grounds, I’m not really looking out for black boys or Arabs; I’m looking out for white boys.
” —Son of Baldwin (via sonofbaldwin)
This is the realest shit ever. As much as it’s portrayed everywhere that POC are armed and dangerous, I will go on to say that I’ve never been worried about a POC being armed. In all my years of living (which isn’t very long), I never knew a single POC with a gun, but I knew all the white people in my life that had guns…and there are many. Maybe it’s all the pictures they take of themselves at the shooting range. But we’re worried about “Daquan with the dime bag of weed”

Eeeeee! Why isn’t it October already?
So, having been a fan of the 90’s/00’s La Femme Nikita series, I have to say that I was expecting maybe not to like this one, but then THERE WAS MAGGIE Q and it was a done deal.
(Some spoilers below, not specific)
Even though the show borrows a LOT from La Femme Nikita, they make it their own. I like Maggie Q in this better than I liked Peta Wilson, honestly. I think she does a better job of convincing me that she’s capable of those extraordinary feats while still being very human, and convincing me why she wants to get out. Wilson did a very good job with the role, but Maggie Q brings some liveliness to it, a smile here and there, a joke, a determination, a humanity that sometimes lacked in the older series. Plus, Maggie Q isn’t just eye candy. Yes, she’s fucking gorgeous, but she also brings a lot of substance to Nikita.
I actually buy and invest in her past. There are little moments where I totally am there when they talk about Nikita being a recovering addict and why her experiences fuel how she feels about Division. In “Dead Drop” when Nikita tells Michael how she feels because the system (foster care, the police, Division, the military, etc) has always treated her as expendable, I felt like it really said a lot more. In that moment, it was about more than a spy drama.
I really kind of wanted to frame that little monologue of hers, because not only did I feel Nikita’s personal anger, but the anger of a woman of color who has been treated as an object by every single authority figure and organization she’s contacted. And she isn’t wrong.
Maggie Q pulls it off just so beautifully with so many layers. As she does later when she has that terrifying moment of realization that her entire life, really, has been Division in one way or another. Every accomplishment, victory, everything she can call her own work is tied up with them.
I just can’t tip my hat enough to Maggie Q.
However, I don’t like Shane West as Michael nearly as much as I did Roy Dupuis. I think is mostly just personal taste on my part. I liked Dupuis very stoic, quiet, unreadable, inscrutable version of Michael, the one where you wonder if he’s even really human under that mask of complete and utter unfeeling calm. I liked that it contrasted with Nikita. That said, West and Maggie Q have enough chemistry that he works in the role and I’ve warmed to him, but I miss the old Michael.
I also have a thing for the whole “lively, emotional character who wins the heart of a strong, stoic, silent type and opens them up slowly”. I can’t help it. It’s just a thing I like. Plus, I think a stoic Michael worked because he mirrored Section in a way. He was scary, Section was scary. Michael just went in, cold and untouchable and fucked shit up and it made just that much more of a puzzle, both plotwise and relationship wise with him and Nikita.
This Michael is very readable, very boy scout, very much a sort of basic meat-and-potatoes version of the character. It works, and I can get with it, but I feel like having a sharp contrast with Nikita - having this woman who’s character draws you in and makes herself easily sympathetic - against a character that defies understanding would give the show an edge.
The Birkoffs are kind of toe to toe. I think Matthew Ferguson was the right choice for the quieter, more stylized, haute couture 90’s series and Aaron Stanford is the right choice for this one which is more…colorful, louder, more of it’s time.
I don’t much care for Alex and it’s taken two season for me to sort of go, “Eh, okay. She’s not half bad.” I think this is because I really, seriously hate what they did to Jaden as a character. Maggie Q aside, this is a really white-ass show and having a CoC like Jaden made things better. Plus, Alex really was not the good guy in that whole thing. Jaden tried to offer olive branches and Alex couldn’t get over her FEELINGS enough to put it to rest. Plus, I really felt for Jaden because she just got the wrong end of everything. Also, the actress is just. How do I put this? It feels like she reads her lines but doesn’t really act. She says them in a nice proper phone voice like she’s reading off a script she’s mostly memorized, but she never actually makes the character work. She’s very pretty and polished and her hair is always impeccable and she’s very perfect in every way (petite little white woman) and she’s just so empty and forgettable and ugh.
Whereas Maggie Q (and many others there) make me forget I’m watching a fictional show because for a few moments, they make it really real.
It feels like there was supposed to be a very bad TV show about a perky long lost princess turned spy that couldn’t get made so it got shoe horned into the plotlines on this show. Like, really? I don’t like to tread out the words “Mary Sue” because they’re used to shut up female characters and shame those who create extraordinary women in fiction and the media, but damn. If I was ever gonna, this would be it.
I really liked Owen. Devon Sawa stayed seriously good looking. Had a crush on him as a kid, STILL HAVE THAT CRUSH NOW. Also, I secretly ship him and Nikita and think, in a way, he would’ve made a better Michael than Shane West. I seriously just love that he gets something about Nikita that Michael can’t.
Kinda went back and forth on Sean and Ryan. Sean Pierce looks like so many other of the white dude Division agents that I took a few eps to be able to recognize him.
Loved that Alberta Watson got to be Senator Pierce. Because the one thing LFN did much better than Nikita now does is the entire secret spy organization thing. Section One actually kinda scared me and creeped me out. I honestly didn’t see how Nikita would ever manage her escape - especially with Operations and Madeline at the helm.
Operations and Madeline worked because, in a way, they didn’t talk as much. They stayed back, giving out assignments and quietly going about doing their dirty work without feeling any need to explain anything or go into details. Plus, Alberta Watson’s ability to have that calm, clinical tone just…the woman works it. She doesn’t seem cloying or “look how seductive and dangerous I am! See! Dangerous! Seductive!” in the way Melinda Clarke’s Amanda does, and as for that manner, Percy in his own way.
In LFN, Madeline and Operations were very much: “either do as we say (and do it well) or get cancelled” with a sort of monstrous indifference, coolness, casualness.
Those two managed to be menacing and scary in a way that Percy and Amanda on Nikita don’t manage. Probably because Amanda just comes off as trying WAAAAY to hard to be sneaky and mindfucky on screen and Percy seems very bwahaha in some scenes. Plus, Madeline would have kicked Amanda’s ass. There’s just something about a woman who can look you in the eyes and make a victory of taking her own life because she’s not going to be replaced by “some ad hoc bimbo” that just cannot be beaten.
Amanda just comes off as desperate to me.
Division doesn’t really impress me. I think it’s partly because Section One would never have let Alex have enough access to ANYTHING to be a useful mole. And it took until after mid-season 2 for Nikita (the show, not the character WHO I LOVE) to explain why there’d be a reason that recruits can see/hear agents coming and going and be that close to the operational center of the organization.
Also, don’t think I don’t notice that even though Division is often shown with lots of anonymous, non-speaking young PoC characters in the background, whenever an agent with more than five lines has to come in that isn’t main cast, they use one of the white dudes which all kind of look like Michael. Seriously. TOO MUCH WHITE DUDE, not enough Jaden and Sonya.
Oh, and Sonya? LOVE HER. Love that she totally captures Birkhoff’s heart and love that she can go toe to toe with him (she totally beat him a couple of times at the hacking game) and love that it’s her making a decision, the right decision, that saves everyone’s ass.
So, now I’m waiting for season 3 eagerly. I’m hoping that Sonya will get to be a regular and have her role expanded (please, dear god show, DO NOT KILL HER OFF, I will never forgive you if you do) and I hope we get to see more angles with Nikita and Division with the big finale of season 2. Less Alex and Amanda would be nice as hell. Oh, and if Owen can come back and be awesome and maybe even have more chemistry with Nikita that would be nice as hell.
for example, instead of calling it “the mainstream news” we call it “the white community’s news”—do u see what I mean?
and that’s NOT stretching it at all to call it “the white community’s news”—if you look at the historical trajectory of media in the US—there were ALWAYS multiple presses operating within different communities—and the white community specifically worked to *shut down* the presses of other communities. see ida b well’s newspapers/publishing efforts throughout her life. the normalization of the idea that there is one over arching “mainstream” press that is representative of all (and then there’s the rest of us) is *actually* the *invisibilization* of the very real white supreamcist heteropatriarchal violence that either *destroyed* or *ate up* (think BET) the communication infrastructure of non-white communities.
what does the terminology “the mainstream news” make invisible? what assumptions does it create? what does it make “normal”? what are the consequences for not being “normal?
here’s a summary of basically every “how to draw” tutorial ever
- draw a rough circle

- add some guidelines to help you

- after doing this, just add a little bit of detail
- aaaaand you’re done!

Do people of different races have different voices?
Today in biological racism: trying to see if different races have unique voices…
And the conclusion states:
Right now, however, there’s no real evidence of a characteristic physiological voice produced by people of different races.
Yay! For wasting money on shit that is ridiculous and serves no other purpose other than trying to come up with a ‘biological’ foundation for racism.
Go science!
lol woooooooooooooow
Wait, what? Studies like this are what have disproved bullshit biological racism definitively. Everyone that tries to bring up the “but science says” card when they’re being racist can be shut down with studies like this. I don’t see that as a bad thing at all.
Of course you wouldn’t.
Stop and think for a moment if you will…
That today people are still putting money and time into trying to find biological foundations for racism.
That white supremacy is such that scientists *still* think it a worthwhile way to expend effort to see if there are biological differences in the voices of races.
Why is this a hypothesis that needs to be tested? Of what possible value does this have to humanity? (the answer is none)
“Of course you wouldn’t.” Haha. Alright then.
Many studies have shown that for applicants with nontraditional names or certain dialects/accents, there is a tremendous amount of discrimination from employers associating it with race, so this issue is hardly coming out of nowhere. I don’t know the intentions of the scientists that did this study, but the study confirms everything nonracists (read: decent human beings) know already and further adds to the pile of evidence we have against society’s currently existing racial hierarchy.
There have been VERY racist scientists release studies trying to prove biological racism and do so with flawed/faked statistics and misleading conclusions. I can post some if you’d like. Studies like this refute that bullshit.
Racism: Wasting money to studies that prove that whitey is racist instead of spending money on actually helping those who suffer it.
Racism: Thinking that’s a totally good idea.
Riley, I stay in awe of how succinct your writing is.
But the punishment the NCAA handed down to Penn State was awesome.
They rolled into town like bosses and were like; “Wanna see a magic trick? All wins from 1998-2011 don’t exist anymore. They’ve disappeared. And your next four years of football? Just forget about those.”. Then the NCAA began to walk away, stopped, turned back around and said; “Oh, and also you’re being fined $60,000,000. Have a nice day.”
Anyone who tries to say these punishments are excessive needs to remember the football program deliberately hid child abuse for over 10 years.
People also need to remember that the NCAA is allowing Penn State players to transfer out without penalty or to stay at Penn State and keep their scholarships even if they don’t play. They’re not punishing the players, they’re punishing the program and giving the players an escape clause.
Also: “The fine will serve as an endowment to serve victims of child abuse nationwide, NCAA President Mark Emmert said when he announced the penalties at a press conference at NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis along with Ed Ray, chairman of the NCAA’s executive committee.”
(From this article here)
Just all of this. All of it. I just…I want to throw roses at the feet of the NCAA for this. Because yeah.
Anyone who doesn’t think this is fair, unfollow me. If you think any penalty is harsh enough for an institution that aided and abetted CHILD RAPISTS, unfollow me and get the fuck out.
Tbh i just really dont like black people

What we say: You have privilege just by being white.
What they hear: Nothing bad has ever happened to you because you’re white.
What we say: We’re complex human beings, just like you.
What they hear: We’re white, just like you.
What we say: Gay is NOT the new black, and women are NOT the n***** of the world. Saying that shit is racist and offensive as fuck to QPoC and WoC.
What they hear: Gay people and women are not oppressed. *only imagines white people in both groups*
What we say: Our spaces are not for you.
What they hear: Our spaces are hear for you to grow as a white person and make your racism even more covert instead of expecting you to deconstruct it yourself.
What we say: White people need to educate themselves and hold themselves accountable.
What they hear: All we really want to do is play the “race card” and find an excuse to call you racist, and we try to trap you to find an excuse to call you such. Because PoC, who encounter racism every day, obviously get some type of sick pleasure by calling innocent white people racist and oppressive.
What we say: Fuck whiteness.
What they hear: Fuck every single white person ever.
What we say: White people need to work to earn our trust.
What they hear: White people need to work very hard to say only nice things to us and give us flattery. Because white people who act nice can never be called racist. Being called racist is worse than actually being racist.
“If I were asked to select one salient characteristic of my abusive clients, an aspect of their nature that stands out above all the others, I would choose this one: They feel profoundly justified.”
I picked up Lundy Bancroft’s Why Does He Do That?: Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Menagain the other night in order to quote a specific passage, but it occurred to me that it would be far more useful to write about the book itself. In short: If you can find it, read it. If you have experienced abuse in your personal life, or have witnessed it, it is profoundly useful in understanding the experience. If you have not, it is still extremely enlightening, and, more importantly, will help you recognize traits of abusive personalities in people you encounter. There is nothing more important than that when you live in a society that constantly rationalizes and excuses abusive behavior.Bancroft has worked directly and indirectly with abusers for over twenty years (fifteen at the time of publication), and has been involved in over two thousand cases of abuse. He is the former codirector of Emerge, the first agency in the U.S. to offer services to abusers. Despite the fact that he spent much of that time focusing on the rehabilitation and treatment of these men, he is explicit about the fact that few abusers ever fully cease abusing. Bancroft provides a multitude of examples and anecdotes that illustrate that abusive behavior is a choice, and an extremely rewarding one at that. He debunks popular myths about abusers, such as the role of childhood abuse, mental illness, and drugs and alcohol, and provides a guide to the various ways abusive behaviors can manifest, from the obvious to the subtle. He even addresses the phenomenon of men who have learned to cloak their abusive behavior in progressive buzzwords, becoming even more sophisticated manipulators.
Bancroft also worked separately with the victims of his clients, and discusses the more subtle effects of abuse on victims. He provides one of the most useful guides to helping people in abusive relationships that I’ve seen. His guide emphasizes the difference between standing with the victim to strengthen her vs. acting as yet another force upon her, something that is not well understood by the general public.
The book approaches the topic primarily via male abusers in heterosexual relationships, but since the focus is largely behavioral, much of the information can be applied to same-sex relationships. There’s a considerable amount that is pertinent to abusive dynamics that occur outside the context of romantic relationships, as well as to female abusers. As the book’s title implies, however, it is largely about men, and Bancroft goes into detail explaining why he has chosen to avoid a gender-neutral approach. Much of the book’s value lies in the fact that Bancroft does not avoid tackling the role of male privilege in perpetuating abusive behavior, something that is missing from much of the domestic violence material circulated on Tumblr and other social media.
It’s not always an easy book to read. While Bancroft mostly refrains from recounting incidents of abuse in explicit detail, it’s inevitably going to remind any victim of their experience. It’s also occasionally shocking, in the sense that the insights provided may suddenly cast past events in a new light. With that said, I’ve found it incredibly useful for what one might call “deprogramming”, the mental sorting through what we once believed was happening and what we now realize happened. Most importantly, it provides useful tips for spotting abusive behavior from the start, as well as a solid, tangible source of reinforcement when you begin to doubt your instincts.
In short: Read it, and pass it on.
ooh, cool. adding this to my list.
Teenager Jarrell Brooks saves mother and two other kids from the Dark Knight Shooter
He didn’t save *his* mother. He saved Patricia Legarreta the woman who was abandoned in the theater by her boyfriend with their two kids & somehow the media wants to talk about the white dude’s cowardice, more than the black kid’s bravery.
Oh of course.
I am reblogging this for the heroic act made by Jarrell. Not for the black vs white issue that always seems to pop up during news stories like this. Let’s focus on the fact that he risked his life to save theirs. Way to be a hero Jarrell!
How about we focus on the fact that Jarrell’s race is a factor in why he’s less likely to get feted for his heroism & more likely to be ignored? Because that’s part of this story & you don’t get to erase it from the narrative just because reality makes you uncomfortable.
zuky:
If white people wreaking mass murder were to be called terrorism…
what would we call U.S anthems?
what would we call the “Settling” of the “nation”?
what would we have to say about U.S. international policy?
how could U.S. policing continue even one more day?
what…
Whiteness- a political, societal and institutional structure of racial hierarchy that generally puts white people at the top, whereas PoC are aligned in accordance to their intersectionality (class, race, skin color, gender identity, sexuality, etc).
Example- a lighter skinned non-denominational Latin@, although she is still lives on the bottom ranks of the kyriarchy, will have an easier time coasting through life than a dark skinned Black Muslimah.
White people- people who are white.
These two things don’t neccesarily have to live in unisen. If you at anytime find yourself upset when people talk about whiteness, you’re conflating yourself with it and ultimately a piece in the puzzle of oppression. There’s no other reason to feel slighted by people who discuss their struggles living under a white supremacist society unless you’re harboring guilt or feel you’re exploiting your privilege.
eastafrodite just gave yall a free 101 lecture. Take notes. There will be a test.
Guess they’re not as disempowering as Western feminsim would have you believe huh?
and this is why this whole
“if you make me feel shitty, i am staying away from you, im not gonna force myself to endure it and *teach* you” stuff
shakes people who live by abuse cycles to the core
because thats how abuse is perpetuated?
so to hear someone say,
“you hurt me, you make me uncomfortable, you didnt observe my humanity when given chances so no, im not gonna stay around you”
is the ultimate shock and faux-pas
it doesnt occur to some that they can just say no to folks who make them squirmish
oftentimes because they havent had the choice to
and that is a motherfucking problem worth addressing, in every sense
white girl privilege technique #1 :
Say something really offensive to someone. If they get upset or argue back, start crying or yelling. People will come to your aid & the other person will be handled as a threat to your safety.
Really though.
Unless you in da hood. Den ain’t no mothafucka gonna care bout you white ass problems.
and even that shit ain’t true all the time; a lot of Black dudes stan for them white girls (and have!) too, and call folks mad/jealous when they’re called on it.
so yeah, ain’t nobody safe from that shit, no matter where you go. that shit is emotional currency for them — they can pay their way just about anywhere with some tears, chile
Alladis.
it can even be a hypothetical white girl. cavalries will ride out all the same.
